Dr. Pablo Jeczmien and Psychiatry
Dr. Pablo Jeczmien has more than 30 years’ experience as a psychiatrist, although it’s only been in the last few years that he has been able to practice in a way that makes him feel truly fulfilled when he decided to study Anthroposophical Medicine and Anthroposophical Psychotherapy. Giving up some of his professional responsibilities, including management and teaching, he chose to dedicate all of his time outside of clinical practice to the investigation and study into ways that people can possibly mend the bridge between body and mind to create an atmosphere more conducive to better healing.
One thing that can be said about Dr. Jeczmien’s career is that it has taken an unusual trajectory. He didn’t actually start out as a psychiatrist. While training as a heart surgeon working with a highly regarded team, he felt he wanted to do something different which would bring him closer to the human beings. He switch to psychiatry and psychotherapy as part of a personal journey to discover the various ways mind and body work together in the healing process.
It is his path of personal and professional growth and development that has led Dr. Pablo Jeczmien to address mental and physical problems from a more multidimensional, and even spiritual, point of view than many of his fellow psychiatrists colleagues.
